This mezuzah sits in the front doorway of our house, greeting every visitor who comes to our doorstep. What’s ironic is that fact that it remains securely hammered in its current spot even though we don’t believe in religion anymore. You’d think we would have taken the mezuzah down by now, but there’s something about its lovely handpainted design that gets me every time I look at it.
