This is the Matterhorn - the tall mountain in the middle. It straddles the border of Italy and Switzerland. The south face of the Matterhorn is on the left, which is Italy. The east face is on the right, which is Switzerland. The Matterhorn is one of the tallest mountains in the Alps and the photo shows other peaks in this section called the Pennine Alps. The mountain range is covered in snow with steep rocky crags jutting up through it. It's a sunny day and the black and white mountains are against a clear blue sky.
