It was 6:00 am in Nashville when we hit the trail at Percy Warner Park. My mom was in town so my wife and I had the chance to hit the trail together for a dawn patrol run. You’re never sure where or how the sun is going to hit, and they day started foggy. Then we turned the corner just as the sun was busting through the fog, and the entire world became a golden ball of light. This is why I run, especially early. Seeing the world in this way happens all the time when you’re not on the same path as everyone else.
