I had something like this in mind when I went to photograph the marsh songbirds on this morning. This isn’t exactly what I was trying for but I think it came out nice anyway. This Marsh Wren perched just high enough for me to get a silhouette of it through all the marsh grasses. There was a small area of clouds right on the horizon so instead of seeing the sun itself the whole horizon was glowing yellow and orange. I did like how some of the grasses went well above the bird to make it feel like you are in the marsh with it.
