I was solo camping and had portaged and canoed across three or four lakes and trails. As I came upon this portage the rain started to fall. After pulling the canoe and my gear ashore, I discovered this portage had a stunning boardwalk laid through a swampy section. The tree canopy here was thick so I decided to try and wait out the heavy rain and spent some time photographing this beautiful little nook in Northern Ontario.
